In the silent Linden : this blog is a diary about my - Barbara Beeckmans - work as an artist. I work with ink, drypoint, etching, watercolour.
Hier kun je ook iets proeven van wat er gebeurt in de stille Linde : het kunsthuis, de droomboom, de stille aanraking van seiki en shiatsu. Welkom.

For Christmas a mystery

As a Christmas gift and wish, I brought together images of this mystery I love.
These shrines were built in Germany, France, and Italy between 1300 and 1430.
This is about the Mother, and the mystery of Trinity,
and the mystery of what can be hidden inside.
In this time now I wish us deep, good nights,
a quiet candle and bright stars diving in the well of the heart.

Music : Montserrat Figueras sings Beatriz de Dia: "A chantar ..."
from the album "España antigua" by Hespèrion XX & Jordi Savall.
If you love the music, support the artists and buy it here www.alia-vox.com
I do not own any rights to any content of this video, it was made with love only to share the beauty.

5 x words from you and me:

  1. Thank you so much for this wonderful work!

O, yes: deep good nights, a quiet candle and bright stars diving in the well of the heart...

  2. Oh so beautiful. I've not seen these before, what treasures, thanks! I do, however, have a large collection of similar music and it tends to get played a lot this time of year... in the winter light that seems so white - I feel the tug of the Earth below.

  3. These are Beautiful!!!

A belated, but most heartfelt Merry Christmas to you!!! Sorry about the lateness... I was working 14 hour shifts at work in the week before Christmas, including Christmas Eve... and I've been just doing nothing since then. Anyway, thanks for posting this!

  4. Thank you dear all.

Yes Valerianna, me too I feel the tug in this season, like the Earth wishes to bring everything inward to embrace it, and the big bears and other wise animals hear her voice very well :-)

Jodi, I hope you can enjoy your doing nothing as long as you need it now, and if you don't enjoy it, I wish you bright mountain streams and old wells of inspiration and creativity :X
