In the silent Linden : this blog is a diary about my - Barbara Beeckmans - work as an artist. I work with ink, drypoint, etching, watercolour.
Hier kun je ook iets proeven van wat er gebeurt in de stille Linde : het kunsthuis, de droomboom, de stille aanraking van seiki en shiatsu. Welkom.

Parcival's sister - click to zoom

Parcival, the boy who grew up in a heavenly forest
encounters the human world of swords

and of women carrying the secret
of the immaculate heart

this girl is his little sister, on her own quest

drying prints, prayer flags

4 x words from you and me:

  1. A wonderfully illustrated story. Full of wonder and mystery. I love it!!

  2. So lovely! Your drypoints always look as if they are humming with life because of all the lines. And the woman's face on the right hand side is stunning!

  3. You finished this secret work great! I see the soul sheltered by 3 heroes. The face of the woman carrying the Immaculata heart really is stunning! I see a doorway/cave-entrance built by Parzival and the woman. The cat really loves the soul very much giving her complete shelter. Fascinating lines and shadows. All faces are inner faces. The soul seems to be very brave and suffering.

  4. Ramona, thank you !
Jodi, thank you, if my drypoints are humming with life, it is because I am humming with joy doing that work :-)
Dori, thank you so much for this "all faces are inner faces" ... this made my day, my week, and more ...
