In the silent Linden : this blog is a diary about my - Barbara Beeckmans - work as an artist. I work with ink, drypoint, etching, watercolour.
Hier kun je ook iets proeven van wat er gebeurt in de stille Linde : het kunsthuis, de droomboom, de stille aanraking van seiki en shiatsu. Welkom.

Lost and found

Someone who was lost is found,
outside the gates of a town, lying on a beach,
the sea - I believe - brought her back
finally.

Lost and found

One embraces her with strong love.

There is a vigilant watchman too.

This journey of recovering
can be inspired by many stories in our world
but the main thing to recover is a lost or stolen piece of soul.

It started with a light soft sketch on a copper plate.

This is the plate when the drawing has been carved and covered with ink,
not yet sufficiently wiped to print.

The lost piece of soul is ... to be found.

6 x words from you and me:

  2. This is very fascinating: to find the lost part of the soul! What a desire, here fulfilled desire, pain - pain of former times - and love is speaking from this master-piece - or I say: MASTER-PEACE. How painful the Lover waits until the soul finally accepts him being a part of her. He nearly dies, drunken in tears. The universe is watching the scene.

  3. Reclaiming is a very very good word here, Valerianna.
    Jane, you're welcome.
And Dori, the world would be poorer without your passion :D

  4. And then, one timeless moment, we will see
that nothing of our Self was ever lost.
And that the even pain of searching was nothing else but pure love.

    Greetings from Dori's sister.
