Finding each other under the oldest gate

My painting with watercolour is listening to this moment
every brush stroke comes from living in this moment
where I make old gates of hope
where people can find each other
in a safe high airy shelter built with ancient stones
from precious human cultures,
connected with the old trees and the surrounding land
and with many beautiful true ways.

Touched by the cruelty of war
that happens in my world
I paint two people
who make the choice to be loving beings.

4 x words from you and me:

  1. Such compassion on the faces, beautiful emotion. Painting these is a prayer and holds the dream... and your words are like the stones of the precious human cultures to build our world anew....

  2. Thank you, Valerianna, you remind me that a painting/drawing can be a prayer - without depicting a prayer. I didn't think about the word, painting this, but it was/is the wish in my heart.

  3. What a lovely thought, a place where people can find each other, yes, and when they do they are transformed by the powerful love energy of the old gate.

  4. Valerina says something very precious: A painting can be a prayer. This painting is a deep prayer of a wonderful heart and hand. I recognize my parents and all loving couples. Great work!! Most valuable !! What a consolation for me. Thank you for going into this under-earth-region, Angel!
